『新幹線』は、英語の場合、

『 Shinkansen 』のままで通じる。

(まれに通じない場合もあるため、

 その場合は、 『 Bullet train 』

 

『 Bullet train 』

アメリカでは、新幹線のような高速鉄道のことを

『 bullet:弾丸のように速い列車』という意味になるため、

『 Bullet train 』と言う。

 

 

または、

~ Shinkansen line 』という言い方もある。
